The purpose of this website is to increase awareness about severe and tropical weather with a bit of Disney magic. I started nowcasting on Twitter as @StormyStitch in 2009 for North Texas and now in Central Florida.

Background. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Operational Meteorology and Graduate Certificate in GIS. As a trained SkyWarn Spotter, I volunteer with Spotter Network. My goal is to attain the National Weather Association (NWA) Digital Seal of Approval within the next 2 years.

Disney Fan. While I am not affiliated with the Walt Disney Company or with Disney Parks, you could describe me as a Disney fan and that would truly be an understatement. My first visit to Walt Disney World was when I was just 2 years old. Most visitors to the Orlando Theme Parks and especially Walt Disney World do not recognize how significantly weather impacts a day in Central Florida. Hopefully, this website will help you to be more informed so you can stay Weather Aware even when on vacation.
